ABOUT THE ARTIST
Morpheus Styles is a Yoruba visual artist and entrepreneur that resides in the Columbus, OH area. He expresses his creativity through multiple mediums including traditional drawing, acrylic paintings (abstract and representational), as well as digital drawing and coloring Morpheus's artwork is created to reflect all types people, and more specifically all types of Black people. "We live in a time where identity is a big deal, and identity has always been a big deal for black people. Whether that's from your family history or your bloodline, or to physical projection or mental projection. So, people dealing with the space of gender identity, or people dealing with the space of [sexual] orientation, and spirituality; all of those things will show up in my work." The Yoruba culture plays one of the key roles in inspiration for creating new art pieces. In addition, to this Morpheus's work draws on inspiration from the realm of nerds and gamers. His work also builds off of inspiration gained from the people he is tied to in life, and in love.
Here are some fine pieces I'm pretty proud of.
